1. If you’re driving too slow on Ring Road, you will get passed. 
  2. There’s a lot of darkness. If you’re afraid of the dark, stay in Reykjavik.
  3. You don’t have to chase waterfalls in Iceland. They’re everywhere!
  4. No snakes… I’m a big fan of places with no snakes, which is also why I love Hawaii.
  5. Restaurant I didn’t expect to see – KFC. Subway sandwich shops were also unexpected.
  6. IKEA is a popular lunch spot.
  7. Definitely NOT a shortage of sheep.
  8. Black is the predominant beach color.
  9. The weather doesn’t stop activity. People still do tourist stuff, even if it’s raining.
  10. The smelly showers take some getting used to.
  11. The whole country of Iceland is like a living commercial for The North Face®.
